COMMON GROUND is a proposal made in cross section whose objective is to establish in the first place links, connections and articulations.

It is about taking part in a representation of the studied zone in order to share with the different stakeholders involved in the process of “linking”, “synergizing” of the various situations existing on the site and it’s hosting potential.

We propose to thicken the cutting line around the various dimensions associated with the soil: its composition and its urban and landscape characteristics (pollution, waterproofing, flooding), the right of ownership and land exploitation of this ground, the resources tank it represents, the diversity of actors involved and the various possible combinations, the imagination it conveys, and also the economic, energetic potential and/or the landscape potential that is revealed.

This proposal aims ultimately to constitute a shared project with the overall “Angevin” neighbourhood.

GUIDE LINES:

  • The challenge is to federate hybrid communities of actors, public and private partners, companies, associations, elected representatives, with shared interests per site and who will work to develop the land and its transformation.

  • The general interest must be guaranteed. Future transformations will take place through wills and massive investments from private initiatives. Thus, the urban community must ensure that the development’s dynamics that will be undertaken has taken into account the economic, social, societal and ecological core of our society’s problematic.

STRATEGY

Based on a project practice questioning “association”, “correlation” and the “bias”. These tactics allow us to think of the relations between entities that seem disjoined of this studied area. The aim is to consider it as an ecosystem.

ASSOCIATION of sites

Proposing associations of sites on the study area that have complementary land use dynamics.

> Forming a grouping between an abandoned or vacant site whose transformation is rapidly conceivable and a dynamic site densely built and / or little transformable.

Example: career and MIN.

CORRELATION of uses

Proposing correlations of site uses in order to reinforce interdependencies.

> Gathering forms of land use and production, the presence of one implies the presence of the other.

Example: geothermal energy and the logistics platform of the “last kilometer”, the second site consuming the energy produced by the first.

TRANSVERSAL THEMES

Proposing to cross the stakes related to the study area, the city of Angers, the metropolis and the territory in a located way.

> Bringing together sites and uses the service of cross-cutting issues and shared.

Example: Logistics and sustainable energy
